While visiting the Ballarat Model Railway Show, I came across a trade stand that was selling signals amongst other items.

Train spotting

A pleasant afternoon was recently spent train spotting overlooking the down end siding at Tsubojiri-jinja-mae.  

Ever expanding staging yards

Prior to the exhibition at Stawell, I had been planning some sequences that would maintain interest for viewers and provide the opportunity to operate, rather than just circulate trains in a "roundy-round" arrangement.

Grampians Model Railway Show 2018

The weekend of 7th and 8th July saw Tsubojiri-jinja-mae attend its first exhibition. This was its debut and also my first exhibition as a layout owner. 

Adding a little more

 After completing the layout so that it was operational and fully scenic, I wanted the ability to quickly change running stock. This called for an expansion of the two stub sidings at the rear of the layout.

Construction

 As explained in the previous post, I wanted a layout that could do the "roundy-roundy" thing but also a little operation interest.
